A RETURNING Worcester Warriors made an emphatic start to their first pre-season campaign since 2022, running in eight tries in a commanding 54-12 win away to Ampthill.
The visitors struck first after just a few minutes when Will Lane crossed the whitewash following slick link-up play from Taite Fortey and Alfie Garside. Gareth Rees added the extras to put the Warriors 7-0 ahead.
Their second score wasn’t long in coming as Garside showcased his pace, flying down the wing to finish after the ball was worked wide with precision.
