Saracens begin cup defence with impressive win over Lightning

REIGNING PWR Cup champions Saracens flexed their muscles with a nine-try 59-14 victory over Loughborough Lightning yesterday.
Saracens struck first in the opening five minutes. A dropped pass allowed Sophie Bridger to pick the ball up in open space and run the ball in from halfway. But that early try was cancelled out by Loughborough’s New Zealand-born No.8 Haineala Lutui, powering her way over the line.
