GLOUCESTER opened their pre-season campaign with a morale-boosting win at Kingsholm thanks to a late strike from George Barton.
In a bruising contest, it was the visitors who drew first blood. A well-executed five-metre lineout saw Munster’s forwards carry hard before Tony Butler switched play with a cross-field kick for winger Andrew Smith to score.
