Many rugby players finish the season just desperate for some sun and a chance to rest their weary bodies, but Alex Coles is in a very different position.
The Northampton second row dealt with a succession of niggling injuries to start the 2024/25 campaign, and it seemed at one point as though he would never be able to put a run of games together.

Finally, injury-free, he was able to do just that as Northampton made it all the way to the Champions Cup final and was Saints’ most impressive performer in the final as they came up short against Bordeaux-Bègles.
