Alex Sanderson claims it would be a “travesty” if George Ford fails to experience what it feels like to be a Lion.

The Sale boss feels Ford would go down as one of the unluckiest players never to go on tour with the British and Irish Lions.
Despite having a lengthy and illustrious England career, Ford missed out again this summer as Andy Farrell did not select him for his touring party to Australia.
The 32-year-old now has to wait and see if there are injuries prior to take off or during the tour to any of the No.10s to have a chance of a call-up.
