Tom Hooper is the first of a number of big signings Exeter intend to make before the end of the season as they plot their way back up the Premiership.
The 23-year-old Hooper, who has won 10 caps for Australia, has paused his international career to became the latest Australian to call Sandy Park home, joining prop Scott Sio in the southwest.
“Tom is the first of several players we hope to get over the line in the rest of the season,” said Rob Baxter, Exeter’s director of rugby.
