Henry Slade proved to be Exeter's match winner once again as the Chiefs beat Glasgow 19-17 to book their spot in the Champions Cup knockouts.
The Warriors thought they had snatched victory in injury-time when Euan Ferrie went over but his try was chalked off.
Slade, whose last-minute conversion saw Chiefs beat Toulon in December, said: “We showed a lot of heart in that game. We are incredibly pleased with the four points but have plenty to work on.”
On his winning kick he said: “I just focus on that job that is in front of you and taking yourself away from the gravity of the situation. Once that try is scored and everyone is celebrating I take myself away for 10 seconds and regather myself. Thankfully I was able to convert. I'd prefer it if I didn't have to do it so often.”
Slade was a surprise omission from England's World Cup squad and the centre is hoping for a recall this week when head coach Steve Borthwick reveals his Six Nations squad.
“I was massively gutted not to go to the World Cup and distraught but I feel I have used it in a good way as a motivation and drive to keep improving,” Slade said. “I have reset it back to the mindset before I was playing for England and how did I get picked.
“That is working hard here every day, playing as hard as I can and control what I can control.”
