A BRACE from Pat Tapley to start off his testimonial season helped Bedford Blues complete a famous victory as they battled a youthful Northampton Saints side to win at Goldington Road.
Bedford had seemed to be up against it in the first half despite taking the lead through winger Tapley, but a familiar face to many in the crowd, George Hendy made the most of two mismatches in the backfield to score twice and give Saints a 12-7 lead.
