Spain join top tier after Uruguay win

SPAIN have been promoted to the top tier of U20s rugby for the first time after winning a sensational final against Uruguay 39-32.
Spain scrum-half Pablo Perez Merono was sent to the bin after only 45 seconds for twice tackling a player without the ball, and Juan Carlos Canessa kicked Uruguay 3-0 ahead. Francisco Deffemiinis brushed off two defenders to extend Uruguay’s lead before Juan González sped in to put Uruguay 15 points ahead.
