Blair: We blinked first on the night

EDINBURGH boss Mike Blair summed up his team’s disappointing night: “We blinked first,” he said in describing a wet and muddy battle.
Blair explained that Edinburgh had planned for a kicking match due to the conditions and added: “We talked at half-time about staying patient and understanding that the ‘kick-cycle’ works. I just felt we blinked first, we just pushed the extra pass. The kick-off receipt we had was a big moment.”
