DUDLEY Kingswinford survived an early scare to go six points clear at the summit with a 20-14 victory over Burton.
The visitors started on the front foot with James Davies scoring a try that was followed by a penalty try for a buoyant Derby side.
DK had to settle for a single Samuel Vaughan penalty as the league leaders found themselves 14-3 behind at the break.
In the second half, DK showed their promotion credentials, scoring three tries through Vaughan, Thomas Walker and replacement James Ryan to secure their 13th win from 16 games.
