Rugby School launches 200th celebration

SCHOOLS RUGBY

RUGBY School will begin celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the creation of the game by launching The Global Pass, which will see 200 passes of an anniversary ball around the World through 2023 at various different events.
It gets underway today on The Close, the field holding the famous pitches where William Webb Ellis is said to have first picked up and ran with a football in 1823.
