Chiefs pair fit for new season

EXETER are confident that Henry Slade and Sam Simmonds will be fit for the start of next season, which gets underway on September 9.
Both are missing England’s summer tour to Australia. Slade has had a ‘routine tidy-up operation’ on his shoulder a couple of weeks ago while Simmonds, who played in all five of England’s Six Nations games, has seen the surgeon’s scalpel to correct a hip injury and should be ready for September.
