Brumbies inch past Reds to remain top

THE Brumbies extended their lead at the top of the table with a narrow 16-12 win over Australian title rivals Queensland Reds.
Dan McKellar’s side are five from five this season and are now four points clear of the second placed Reds.
Noah Lolesio opened the scoring with a penalty before the visitors took the lead through James O’Connor’s seven-pointer. The Brumbies went back ahead before halftime through Wallaby flyer Tom Wright’s converted score and extended their lead with a Nic White penalty.
