THERE are many out there who argue for a 24 team World Cup which is something I have always resisted. The current 20 team format already requires a marathon six weeks not to mention all the training camps and warm up games and there is a massive danger that bringing in four more minnows would see another big hike in scorelines.
And bear in mind the big boys already, habitually, put out their second sting fifteens for these matches anyway. Frankly what’s the point?
