Burger holds firm for Wasps move

WASPS have held off a last-minute bid from the Lions to prevent inside centre Burger Odendaal from agreeing to a deal to move to Coventry later this year.
Odendaal, 28, who had five seasons with the Bulls before moving to the Lions in July 2020, has also spent a season in Japan with Kubota Spears.
Wasps boss Lee Blackett is turning to Odendaal, who is out of contract in October, to replace Leicester Tigersbound Jimmy Gopperth.
Blindside understands that the Lions pulled him in to try to get him to change his mind, but he had agreed to the move.
