Off: Nathan Hughes’ contract at Bears is ending

LONDON Irish have enquired about the plans of England No.8 Nathan Hughes, who last week made a short term switch to Championship outfit Hartpury. Hughes, 30, is in the last six months of the £500,000 a year three-season deal he signed at Bristol Bears after controversially leaving Wasps in 2019.
Blindside reported in October that Fijian-born Hughes’ CV has been doing the rounds of French Top 14 sides.
