Dupont, Jones and Smith vie for award

THE shortlist for the Rugby Union Writers’ Club Personality of the Year has been released, with France star Antoine Dupont among the nominees.
Dupont, the reigning World Rugby Player of the Year, had a sensational year showcasing his electric running, robust defence and impeccable decision-making in key victories over the All Blacks, Wales and Ireland.
The 25-year-old could be the second Frenchman to claim the prestigious award after flanker Jean- Pierre Rives won it back in 1981.
