Watkins double keeps heat on Penallta

NEWBRIDGE recorded a thumping 33-0 victory over Pontypool to keep pressure on Penallta at the top of the table in Division One East. Sam Watkins impressed for the home side, crossing for two tries at the Welfare Ground.
Penallta recorded a 20-3 victory away at Bedlinog, with the other standout victory of the weekend coming courtesy of Dowlais’ 18-17 victory away at Blaenavon as the visitors recorded their first victory of the season.
Monmouth beat Senghenydd 26-21 at home with Brynmawr versus Brecon and Risca against Nelson postponed....
