RETIRING Ireland captain Ciara Griffin ended her career with two tries and a win over Japan.
Griffin, 27, gave one final reminder of her leadership qualities, inspiring the team to fight back from a 12-3 deficit.
She said: “That was a lovely way to go out and I will take a lot of solace from that. I want to relish this moment.”
Griffin led the team to victory even though they played for 52 minutes with 14 players after Hannah O’Connor’s red card.
