Diamond arrival is good news for Ashton

STEVE DIAMOND’s reputation for getting wayward characters back on the straight and narrow could save Chris Ashton’s Worcester career.
Ashton signed for Worcester, his fifth Premiership club, earlier this year but has featured only three times in Alan Solomons’ side.
This season he has not been considered for selection with rumours of a bust-up behind the scenes. Head coach Jonathan Thomas has consistently refused to shed any light on the matter and Ashton’s departure seemed inevitable.
