One day more than two years ago, Rob Baxter got up at four in the morning to drive 110 miles and keep an appointment three hours later. Exeter Chiefs had signed Christ Tshiunza and their director of rugby, never one to leave anything to chance, made it his business to visit the Congolese teenager’s place of learning in Wales.
