So, a new season of club rugby is finally upon us and it’s a new era for the four Welsh regions who will be competing in the United Rugby Championship.
The old Guinness PRO14 had many critics but I think the addition of South Africa’s strongest franchises, who have left Super Rugby, will strengthen the overall product.
When it comes to the fortunes of the four Welsh regions it’s all doom and gloom. That’s especially the case if you glance at Twitter, but I think there is cause for some optimism.
