Standoff goes on

THE standoff between agents and clubs couldn't have come at a worse time for both parties after a change in rules now allow clubs to speak to players from rival clubs in the last year of their deal.
Previously, a club had to wait until the last six months of a player's contract before they could talk to a player.
A row over who pays agents commission is holding up deals.
