Happy 90th birthday to Lewis, the first of the flying Lions

LEWIS JONES, the first player to join a Lions tour by air at a time when everyone else still went by boat, reaches another monumental landmark today – his 90th birthday.
The pioneering Welshman, a Grand Slam winner at 18 and a Test Lion against the All Blacks at 19, will celebrate at home in Yorkshire where he has lived since joining Leeds Rugby League club from Llanelli in 1952 for a then world record fee of £6,000.
