ENGLISH rugby’s failure to embrace mavericks like Danny Cipriani is one of the travesties of the modern game, according to former Wasps fly-half Will Robinson.
Robinson, a one-time Premiership protégé whose failure to conform saw him jettisoned by Wasps in 2013, believes the unfulfilled Test careers of free-spirits Cipriani, Freddie Burns, Ryan Lamb and Shane Geraghty is symptomatic of a nation that refuses to trust genius.
