BATH wing Ruaridh McConnochie plans to follow in the footsteps of Rieko Ioane and Luke Morgan by graduating from the Sevens circuit to Test rugby as he dreams of an England World Cup call.
McConnochie’s rapid rise has taken him from the obscurity of the World Series to a silver medal at the Olympics and now into the thoughts of Red Rose head coach Eddie Jones.
McConnochie, 27, looks set to be the shock inclusion in England’s 45-man training squad after a breakthrough season.
