Carnegie set for crisis talks with RFU boss Melville

THE RFU are to meet with Yorkshire Carnegie officials on Tuesday to see if the club has a viable future. Director of professional rugby Nigel Melville is making the trip to his home city of Leeds following the announcement that fulltime rugby can no longer be sustained at Headingley.
Reassurances that Carnegie will be in a position to take to the field in time for the 2019/20 season are being sought by the Yorkshireman who is said to be alarmed at recent developments in his native county.
