Youngs gets three weeks

LEICESTER hooker Tom Youngs was banned for three weeks when he appeared before a disciplinary panel.
He was shown a red card by referee Tom Foley in the 56th minute of the match against Exeter Chiefs on Saturday April 6 for making contact with Chiefs lock Ollie Atkins’ head in a ruck. Youngs accepted the charge. He is free to play again on May 7.
Panel chair Philip Evans said: “The panel found the appropriate starting point was six weeks (mid-range). The panel felt able to reduce the period of suspension by three weeks.”
