Francis staying a Chief

WALES prop Tomas Francis has extended his deal at Premiership leaders Exeter and will still be eligible to play for his country.
Exeter have exercised a clause in the 26-year-old’s existing contract to keep him at Sandy Park until at least 2021 despite having fewer than the 60 caps required to remain eligible for Wales.
As 40-cap Francis has had a clause enacted in his current deal rather than a new deal, the rule does not apply.
