Falcons aim for St James’ record

NEWCASTLE Falcons will aim to smash their club record attendance for a home fixture when they host Sale Sharks at St James’ Park next March.
Dean Richards’ side beat Northampton at the iconic home of Newcastle United earlier this year in a Premiership fixture that drew a huge crowd of 30,174.
The attendance dwarfed their previous record home gate of 11,750, set during a Premiership victory over Bath at Gateshead International Stadium in May 1998.
