Wales aim to be world No.1 in player welfare

WELSH rugby is on the way to becoming a world leader in player welfare and personal development as it bids to safeguard both men and women in and outside the game.
Depression, anxiety, boredom and financial troubles are among the problems impacting a section of players before and after retirement.
The Welsh Rugby Players Association works with any player in difficulty to counteract such issues and is headed by chief executive Andries Pretorius.
