RAGING Saracens chairman Nigel Wray insists Premiership bosses must put player welfare ahead of money by resisting RFU plans to schedule a lucrative November showdown between England and New Zealand.
Wray believes the risk of burnout to England’s top players in a Lions year outweighs any amount of compensation the Union are prepared to throw at clubs, citing injuries sustained this season by five Saracens stars.
