England have suffered yet another injury blow with Mako Vunipola undergoing a knee surgery.
The loosehead dislocated the patella in his right knee during Saracens‘ Heineken Cup final and will miss the tour to New Zealand which starts on June 7.
He will also sit out the Premiership final against Northampton tomorrow with Richard Barrington starting while Joe Marler is now England‘s first choice loosehead for the tour.
But it might not as straight forward as the Harlequins star is struggling with a hip injury. Bath’s Nathan Catt flew with the squad earlier this week while Matt Mullan could be brought in after the Barbarians game on Sunday.
