Erasmus on Ireland’s wanted list

South Africa director of rugby Rassie Erasmus is being tipped for a possible return to Ireland to replace David Nucifora as IRFU performance director.
Nucifora admitted last October that he would be leaving his job within the next two years, and the IRFU have been scrambling around to draw up a list of possible replacements.

The Australian’s contract runs out at the end of the World Cup but could stay on until next summer to oversee the transition period. Former Ireland coach Joe Schmidt is believed to be on their wish list, along with Erasmus, above, who was in charge at Munster for a sea...
