Coughlan poised to replace Forshaw

Toulon defence coach James Coughlan is an early front-runner to replace Mike Forshaw at Sale Sharks, but a deal could wait until the end of the season.
Sharks director of rugby Alex Sanderson is expected to fill in for the rest of the campaign after losing Forshaw, who has linked up with Warren Gatland’s new-look Wales coaching set-up.
Coughlan, 42, a former Ireland sevens international, coached in Pau, Aix, before moving to Toulon via Brive, but Sergio Parisse has been earmarked for his job next season which could open the door for a move to Sale.
