Bath lead chase for Du Toit, Barbeary

Bath have emerged as favourites to pip Lyon to land Springbok tighthead Thomas du Toit when his contract with the Sharks ends.
Du Toit, 27, is well known to Bath boss Johann van Graan who has spent the last few weeks persuading him to snub a move to Lyon in favour of joining him at The Rec next season.

Lyon were pressing him for an answer over the weekend, but the indications from South Africa are that he would be heading to the West Country unless there was a late change of heart.
