Gatland’s law won’t lock up Priestland

THE confusion created by the Welsh Rugby Union over the complexities of their 60-cap rule has clouded Rhys Priestland’s international future. Should Rhys Patchell’s concussion prompt the need for a reinforcement, Priestland could get the nod ahead of the inexperienced Jarrod Evans.
There is, however, a stumbling block. Bath’s favourite Welsh fly-half confesses that he hasn’t the foggiest as to whether he is qualified to answer any emergency from the Orient. Priestland is in the dark because, it would seem, the WRU cannot enlighten him.
