I wanted to avoid mentioning concussions this week, but seeing Gloucester’s Ed Slater’s bike ride following his MND diagnosis made it unavoidable.
I’m a total layman but, from what I’ve read, while it’s too soon to say that there’s a link between concussions and MND, the data seems to be pointing to that possibly being the case. It seems some people may be genetically predisposed towards being likely to develop MND, and repeated head trauma may be a factor.
