Jimmy Gopperth has got the art of place-kicking down to a tee – his own. The versatile 38-year old, who had been picked at outside-half for Wasps’ cancelled trip to Toulouse today having started at fullback against the French and European champions in the 20- 20 draw there five years ago, has his name on a kicking tee used by several players following the dying wish of its creator.
