GEORDAN MURPHY is battling for his future as Leicester Tigers director of rugby with his contract due to run out at the end of the forthcoming season.
The former Ireland and Lions full-back joined the Tigers as a player in 1997 before retiring in 2013 after becoming the most decorated player in the history of the Premiership. He was given the director of rugby title at Welford Road earlier in the summer after the arrival of Steve Borthwick from the RFU as head coach.
