KIRILL YASHENKOV, who is bidding to become president of Rugby Europe, has vowed to double their budget within two years if he is successful in next month’s election.
Russian International Olympic Committee member Yashenkov, who is bidding to oust Romanian Octavian Morariu from office, says he has several sponsors ready to sign up if he is elected.
He says they will help him launch a new club tournament for thirdtier sides to replace the European Rugby Continental Shield which was scrapped last year.
