Mayor hands chips to hungry kids

FORMER Sale Sharks, Northampton Saints and Wasps centre Chris Mayor, right, has thrown his weight behind a campaign to offer children free food during half-term.
Mayor, who also played for Wigan Warriors, is the co-owner of a fish and chip shop – Oh My Cod – in Coppull near Chorley in Lancashire.
And the big-hearted former player has said that any child can go in and ask for a cone of chips after government’s decision not to foot the bill for free meals.
