THERE is rather a lot of Paul Goze, appropriately so given his status as one of the larger movers-and-shakers of the European club game. His position as president of the Ligue Nationale Rugby affords him some serious clout, though not quite as much as he wielded during his days on the field.
A second row for Perpignan during the bad old days of the Seventies, Goze earned a reputation as one of the most feared enforcers in the game. That took some doing, all the more so considering that his contemporaries included Michel Palmie and Alain Esteve.
