TV joins the American rugby fray

THE birth of Major League Rugby in North America has not been without its challenges but with its third season nearly on us and the league expanded from seven to 12 teams, MLR have managed to secure no fewer than three network television deals which would indicate the TV money men think it might have a bright future.
CBS Sports covered much of the first two seasons and now Fox Sports 2 and ESPN News will also be covering weekly matches this season which is quite a coup.
