Rob Farrar might have forged a career in Rugby League or cricket had fate not taken a hand.
As a youngster brought up in the Cumbrian market town of Egremont, the lack of a junior section at his local union side saw him excel in the 13-man code, while his talent as a bowler put him on a pathway to cricket stardom and earned him a scholarship at Sedbergh School.
