Saracens reel in young Sharks ace Wiese

have agreed a five-year deal to lure star Cobus Wiese from next season.

The champions have been locked in talks with former Junior Springbok Wiese, 22, who can play lock or flanker.

The cash-strapped look set to rely heavily on Wiese in Super Rugby next season after Eben Etzebeth's departure to at the end of last season.

Saracens, however, plan to introduce Wiese into their first-team slowly and he will initially play in their academy side.

Wiese, right, whose brother Jasper plays for the Cheetahs, has an escape clause in his contract that will allow him to leave at the end of next season's Super Rugby campaign.

The news could be a massive blow for Boks director of rugby Rassie Erasmus as Wiese would become eligible to play for by the end of his Sarries contract.
