Sin bins spell the end of Tonga’s resistance

SAMOA got the better of their Polynesia neighbours in the mudbath of Apia.
The playing surface in the Samoa capital resembled a marshy bog as a torrential downpour before kick-off left conditions looking far from suitable even by rugby’s standards.
But Samoa’s pack produced a stirring display to unsettle Tonga’s discipline, leading to two players being sin-binned in the final quarter of the match.
That opened things up for Samoa to score two tries through No.8 Afa Amosa and wing Belgium Tuatagaloa to seize victory at the death.
