Exeter survive Cardiff scare to book a date with Beckett

IT’s ‘knockout footy’ from here on in as Wednesday saw some quarter-final wobbles on the tightrope to Twickenham.
Cardiff gave Exeter an almighty scare, ultimately falling short 34-31 at Topsham. Rory McMeikan opened the scoring for Exeter but tries from Owen Williams and Marcus Ramage turned the scoreboard in a game that saw five lead changes.
Andy Hamilton squared things up for the home side before Pierre Thompson’s score signalled the day’s first successful conversion from Charlie Davies and Exeter led 17-10....
