Cardiff sails are up after maiden win at Northumbria

CARDIFF coach Alun- Wyn Davies last week said that ‘a smooth sea never made for a skilled sailor’ as his side continued their winless run and they answered by sinking the good ship Northumbria 22-14 at Llanrumney for their maiden win.
Having been pipped at Kingston Park against the same opposition a fortnight before, there was a growing sense the Welshmen were nearing a win, and they duly delivered.
Cardiff dominated the first half heading in 17-0 up thanks to Marcus Ramage, Huw Roberts and Cameron Lewis tries and an Owen Williams conversion.
